Welcome to Caudor
Welcome to Caudor, a world reborn from the ashes of a cataclysmic past. Thousands of years after the devastating events of World War III and a catastrophic asteroid impact, the remnants of modern civilization have given way to a medieval landscape filled with mystery, danger, and adventure.
A World Transformed
In the near future, World War III brought humanity to the brink of extinction. As the survivors sought refuge in underground shelters, waiting out the inhospitable radiation levels for generations, a rogue asteroid struck the Earth, accelerating the rearrangement of continents and reshaping the world as we know it. More generations passed in the shelters, while the world above began to right itself. The once-familiar geography of Earth was replaced by new, treacherous landscapes, where ancient ruins of our modern era stand as silent witnesses to a forgotten past alongside the Keeps, Castles and new civilization that has sprung anew.
The Survivors
The few who survived the apocalypse have evolved from being human, adapting to the harsh conditions of their new world. Radiation exposure and the utilization of remnants from ancient advanced technology have given rise to unique abilities and characteristics among the races of Caudor. Humanity has become the races we all know now.
Dwarves, emerging from their collapsed bomb shelters, have developed incredible resilience and strength, becoming unparalleled engineers and craftsmen.
Elves, preserved in high-tech medical facilities, gained extended lifespans and a deep connection to their advanced past, blending ancient wisdom with futuristic aesthetics.
Humans, diverse and scattered, have formed various tribes and kingdoms, each with its own unique adaptations and cultures.
Halflings have adapted by forming tight-knit communities, using their resourcefulness to thrive.
Gnomes have become masters of blending magic and technology, uncovering and repurposing ancient devices.
Half-elves serve as diplomats and mediators, inheriting the adaptability of humans and the longevity of elves.
Orcs and Half-Orcs have emerged as formidable warriors and leaders, valuing strength and honor.
Tieflings, marked by their infernal heritage, possess unique abilities that make them powerful allies or dangerous foes.
Dragonborn, descendants of ancient dragon cults, harness elemental powers and are known for their fierce combat skills.
Aasimar, seen as blessed survivors, use their celestial powers to heal and protect, becoming beacons of hope in the darkness.
Other races have evolved in their own right as well.
